The Little Things

It’s been a big week.

Not the sort of big week that you might expect from an author. My accomplishments have been small but momentous.

I sent my new WIP currently titled Inker and Crown to my awesome beta readers. I know it’s awful of me, but there are times that I skip the beta reader phase. (For sequels, for stories that I’m super comfortable with.) But Inker and Crown is my first non-young adult project in a long time, and I’m working with six points of view so…beta readers it is!

I wrote a blurb for Inker and Crown that didn’t want to make me curl up in a ball and hide from the publishing industry for the rest of my natural life. That’s a huge win.

I did the Facebook Live read aloud for How I Magically Messed Up My Life in Four Freakin’ Days, which I had been procrastinating like a fiend since I felt super weird about reading my own words.

And I’ve reached out to some awesome book bloggers about reviewing Girl of Glass and How I Magically Messed Up My Life in Four Freakin’ Days.

P.S. if you’re a book blogger and would like to sign up to review How I Magically Messed Up My Life in Four Freakin’ Days, you can follow this link.

My awesome husband helped me find a concept for a brand new project to be started mid-November.

And (Drumroll please) I managed to write the first 447 words in the second book in The Chronicles of Maggie Trent.

So I didn’t win any awards this week. I didn’t make any fancy lists. But I still feel pretty good about my accomplishments!
