A Door Opens

Not all things are meant to work out. It’s one of those sad facts.

I found out this week that the publisher of the Girl of Glass series is closing its doors. Not an easy thing to swallow, but such is life. When a book suddenly becomes homeless, there are a few choices to make.

You can let the series go. Pack it in and wait for a shiny new project to pick up steam.

You can send the books back out into the submission battlefield and see if any publishers are willing to take previously published works.

Or, you can put the book back out there yourself.

I believe in Girl of Glass. Readers want to know more about Nola’s story. So, I have made the decision to re-release books one and two in the series this spring and continue on with the final two books as an independent author.

It’s going to be a steep learning curve. There are going to be some long hours ahead, and I’m sure I’ll smack face first into some bumps in the road. But I firmly believe this is the best step for the Girl of Glass series.

Right now, I’m in the research phase and searching for a new cover artist, and I’m already feeling empowered, productive, and excited.

It’s going to be a thrilling spring for Girl of Glass, and a new adventure for me.
