It’s book release week for Feather and Flame!

I am thrilled to have the final installment in the Ena of Ilbrea series out in the world.

Some battles cannot be won.

The time has come to fight. There are no allies left. There is nothing but flames ahead. The end has arrived.

I won’t lie. This book has been a little bitter sweet. While I am so glad that the full series is now in readers’ hands, I’m devastated that my time of living inside Ena’s journey has come to an end.

Yes, there will be more books in the world of Ilbrea (check out last week’s post if you haven’t already), but it won’t be the deep dive into Ena’s mind and universe that have been my constant writing life for the better part of a year.

I am so grateful that I built Ena’s story to be a part of a larger world, because I would be a chivving mess right now if I didn’t have more time to spend in Ilbrea.

I love my orphan from Harane, and I will be forever grateful for having the privilege of telling her story.

So, cheers to Ena!

Now let me pull myself together and get back to work on Inker and Crown.
