How is it December Already?!

December crept up on me this year!

I've been so caught up in writing and life, I honestly have no idea how we got to December.

In some ways, I'm super ready for 2020 to be over. In a lot of ways, I'd love just a few more weeks to get things done before jumping into a brand new year.

But I have made a promise to myself that I will take the time to enjoy what I can during this modified holiday season.

We're hanging more holiday lights than usual. I've been eating a full pie every week. You know, sensible seasonal activities.

There are also some really cool author things that happen at this time of year. Like seeing paperback sales skyrocket. Now, don't get me wrong, I love book sales in any format, but when people buy paperbacks in December, a lot of times it means they're buying the books as gifts. This means that not only are people interested in my books enough to buy them, they're also trusting me as an author to give a valuable reading experience to someone they love.

That's massive!

Whether someone has read my work before and wants someone else to enjoy it or just stumbled on my books on Amazon, they are making my stories a part of their loved ones' holiday experience.

That simple fact humbles and inspires me.

So here's a huge thank you to all the people who have added my books to their holiday shopping lists.
